1. The name 'google' is derived from a mathematical term 'googol' which is 1 with hundred zeros following it.

2. Since 2010, Google has been acquiring an average of one company every week.

3. Larry and Sergey's private planes have runways in NASA, where no other planes are allowed to land.

4. Google owns common misspelled domain names of its own name as well, such as www.gooogle.com, googler.com etc.

5. Google wanted to sell itself to online company Excite in 1999 for $1 million, but the Excite CEO rejected the offer. That's called good fortune.

6. You can use google as a calculator. The algorithms of google solves it instantly.

7. Google also can be used as a unit converter. For eg. Type cm into mm or $x into pounds etc.

8. Google was first stored in ten 4GB pen drives in a lego box.

9. The Google Street View has about 28 million miles of photographed roads.

10. Google rents 200 goats to “mow” the weeds and brush around headquarters.

1. ENIAC was the first programmable computer which used 17,500 vacuum tubes and 7000 diodes and was of a size of a big hall. 

2. Since Atanasoft Berry Computer was not programmable, ENIAC is considered as the first computer.

3. Programming ENIAC was done by pulling wires until 1948.

4. The 12 engineers who made IBM were named as "Dirty Dozens". ( hmm mm, sounds kinky :-))

5. The first 1 GB HDD was announced by IBM in 1980 A.D which had a price tag of $40,000.

6. Only the 10% of money is physical money, rest exists on computers.

7. The first microprocessor was made by Intel Co-Operation naming INTEL 4004 which was designed for calculators at that time leading to multi core processors today. 

8. The first website went online was "info.cern.ch" which was created by Tim Berners-Lee.
